We came across these lovely, fun illustrations by Susse Collection and just had to share them. Their childlike naievety and fun characters make them so endearing, it would be impossible to own a print and not smile when you saw it. I think Creative Director Susse Linton fulfils her brief – to add a little fun to your day! She takes inspiration from her travels, colour and everyday fun things you can find in life which really come across in the work. Go on – smile!

There was some pretty awesome stuff on show at the recent Pick Me Up exhibition at London’s Somerset House, but one of the collections which screamed at us from across the room was the work of Hattie Stewart. Pick Me Up was packed with great stuff.. don’t get us wrong…and soooo many talented people had their work on show, but it was Hattie’s work which really stood out from the crowd, bringing a fresh, cheeky, slap-in-the-face – which we absolutely loved. Hattie has not only exhibited worldwide but has collaborated with the likes of Adidas, YCN, Nylon Magazine and Diesel – to mention just a few from a very long list. We think it’s pretty safe to say that you’re gonna be seeing a lot more from Hattie in the future!

You know when you see something first time and you love it so much that you get a bit hot and tingly? Well thats exactly how we felt the first time we came across Lucy Jay‘s silk scarf collection. Lucy’s range of bold and unique digitally printed scarves bring together jewel colours and geometric patterns for both men and women alike, and have such a strong signature style that her work is instantly recognisable.

Collaborations with illustrator Stone and Spear (previously mentioned here) have also added to this fantastically exciting range, and her scarves have been featured in The Financial Times, NYMag’s The Cut, and blogs such as Grazia, Creative Review and Style Bubble. Her website is currently under construction, but check out her blog and online retailer CultureLabel to see more!

I love paint drips incorporated into artworks, it gives the feeling of incompleteness and error and yet somehow manages to look so aesthetically pleasing. Carl Moore’s series of works on animals provide the perfect combination of beautiful artwork mixed with beastly paint drippings. There’s also something about the background shades that really bring out the colours of the subject and just adds to the overall intensity and graphic nature of the work. We love them!

Ready for some more delicious statement jewellery? This gorgeous collection by independent jewellery label Nylon Sky was born out of a love for geometric pattern and laser-cutting,..and is proving to be right up our street! Having started their roots in London, Nylon Sky now lovingly hand-construct all their pieces from their Barcelona studio, drawing inspiration from Ancient Egypt, faraway lands, bygone eras and art deco glamour. Keep your peepers open as this label is now stocked in over 20 galleries and boutiques worldwide throughout, Europe, Asia and the USA.

We came across the work of Jamey Christoph on Pinterest and fell a little bit in love. What a dreamy child like view he has of the world! We really like the colours, the retro feel, the texture – in fact what’s not to like?! Working out of his tiny apartment in Dupont Circle (with his dogs for company…), Jamey produces illustrations for a range of media including newspapers, magazines and greeting cards. He has a blog, Alley Cats & Drifters where you can keep up to date with his latest work and see snippets of what he is currently working on.

Glasgow-based illustrator and animator Lesley Barnes creates beautifully magical work. Her designs are packed with colour, imagination, and sooooo much fun that it’s no surprise her work has been shown at film festivals worldwide winning numerous awards. She has produced animations for television (BBC, Channel 4), film, documentary and has directed a number of adverts, as well as building a client list including Wrap magazine, V&A Museum, Node rugs, Anorak magazine, Puffin and Bestival. She is one talented laydeeee! Enjoy….

Malika Favre is one of those designers who we can’t believe we haven’t already featured here on Morning Edit. Shame on us!! On a recent visit to the uber-fantastic Pick Me Up show at Somerset House we were blown away yet again by her work – this time her brand new rather kinky Kama Sutra A to Z. And so we just had to share her work with you asap! Her work is absolutely stunning.. it’s sexy, stylish, clever, fresh and she has such a strong, distinguishable style which she absolutely owns. Yep – we’re in love. Take a peep at the following as we think you will be too….

If you, like us, spent most of your childhood worshipping the likes of Luke Skywalker, C3PO, Ralph Macchio, WWF, The A-Team, Knight Rider and a plethora of superhero’s, then the work of Marz Jr. is made for you. His nostalgic, signature style takes us back to the good times when we thought anything could be achieved if we could only master catching a fly with a pair of chopsticks.

LA-based artist Marz jr. spent over a decade collaborating in colouring work for a private studio representing Marvel and DC Comics, and has had his illustration work published in newspapers and magazines all over the world. He now exhibits his work internationally, and it’s safe to say that here at Morning Edit HQ we are big fans.

This furniture is absolutely fabulous, there is nothing about it we don’t like. Colourful, functional, modern yet giving a nod to the past and most of all thoroughly stylish, there isn’t an interior setting that this range wouldn’t look great in. Designed by Nell Beale under the guise of CoucouManou her love of colour is pretty evident throughout all of her products. Plus, not only is Nell a thoroughly talented furniture designer she also has a range of homewares that include everything from coasters and candlesticks to bookends and (our favourites) clocks:
