I have been in love with the floral paintings of Lulie Wallace for ages now. There’s something so feminine about them, maybe it’s the colours I don’t know, but at the same time they manage to be ballsy and bold. I also love her use of pattern, it manages to make the backgrounds of her paintings as interesting as the subject matter. It’s so rare to come across an artist with such a large body of work and to love every piece but I genuinely do. And looking on her website tonight she has a new section of landscape paintings – who knew! AND to top it all off she also has a range of fabrics you can purchase by the yard or ready made as cushions and bags. All lovely but I’m saving for a painting!
